Due to freezing rain overnight in eastern Buncombe County, schools in the Owen District will be on a two hour delay today, Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025. There will be no buses on icy roads. This schedule change affects the Owen District only. All other Buncombe County Schools will operate on a regular schedule.

BCS Teammates who work in the Owen District should report to work at their normal time, if they are able to travel safely. Teammates who will be arriving at work later than their normal start time should communicate with their principal or supervisor.

Breakfast will be served to students when they arrive at school.

While conditions are forecast to improve, BCS Transportation teams will continue to assess conditions. We will update you should we need to further alter today’s school schedule.

Again, Owen District Schools will operate on a two-hour delay today, Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025. All other Buncombe County Schools are operating on a regular schedule.
